Disney's latest remake is almost here, if it can survive the junket

Disney’s latest live-action remake Snow White (sans Seven Dwarfs) drops in a few weeks and it continues to dig an already deep hole even deeper. Earlier this week actress Rachel Zegler attempted to do damage control in an interview with Vogue Mexico where she interpreted criticisms for the film, valid or otherwise, in an interesting way. “I interpret people's feelings about this film as passion for it — and what an honor to be able to be a part of something that people are so passionate about.” Insert the “Sure, Jan” emoji.

I’m not interested in rehashing all the critiques against this movie, you can look them up. What I am interested in is how the cast and crew are preparing to discuss the disability discourse around the movie and Disney’s hackneyed attempt back in 2024 to avoid discussing the complicated history of the Seven Dwarfs.
