Sorry, at this point the only thing keeping me sane while writing about this show is inserting the characters into Rodgers and Hammerstein lyrics. But it kind of makes sense considering all the pomp and glitz associated with the simple statement that the prince Duttons are having an auction. Vulture writer Kathryn VanArendonk said on BlueSky this was the worst episode of the series and I’m inclined to agree.
A shameless Four Sixes pilot with special guests The Duttons left the penultimate episode giving off such mad frat boy energy that I half-expected Beth to enter a wet T-shirt contest. Seriously, the scent of Four Sixes Jaeger (are they there yet) wafting off the screen practically turned this into a 3D episode. Seriously, T.Sher, if all you want to do is party take a few months off and rage, then come back when you want to actually make some TV.
